J K Constructions is a construction company incorporated in the year 2005, by Mr. Kumar has been in the construction field from the year 1989 at a young age of 23.
He has worked in Pondicherry and Auroville, where India’s most innovations in the construction field happens with professionals from all over the world.
From 2005, the base of operations of the company was shifted to Bangalore from Pondicherry, though projects were executed all around South India.
We as a company have worked with leading architects in Bangalore and Chennai. The projects we have worked on comprise of working with Mud as an independent building material to concrete in its true form, without plastering. Also we’ve worked with Steel, producing some award winning projects around South India.
We have worked on projects from Kanyakumari to Hyderabad, of varying scales & values. All our projects have an unique identity to it.

Inge, a student of law, comes from a family of architects but at some stage was tired of hearing about buildings and materials and labour problems! She’d had enough until she needed to build her own home. ‘I had no idea what I really wanted. I had seen Dominic’s work and thought perhaps he would be the right one. Finally, after much thought and debate, I left it up to Dominic, said the soft-spoken lady. “I just gave him the money and told him to go ahead with what was his interpretation of me and what would suit me best. Together they explored space, light and natural surroundings to create a house that would finally reflect Inge’s spirit and beliefs.
For Inge, waking up each day in her home in Kottakarai, Auroville holds all the joy of starting off a brand new day. Set within a forested clearing with an abundance of fruit trees, its boundaries are naturally defined. ‘I wanted a place where I could listen to light see the silence and just be in quietude, said Inge, who wanted no barrier between her and nature. Dominic still feels the pleasure of having designed a space unfettered by the usual requirements of safety and privacy, which are fortunately not an issue, neither with Inge nor in the neighbourhood.
This unusual freedom, without the barriers that usually cloud one’s perception of space, was alا he needed to get his designer juices flowing. ‘Designing,’ says Dominic, is a condensation process in architecture, where the material condenses and rises to the mind, accentuated by the inclusion of nature. In this instance we could envisage a building like this only because, well… it was Inge!”
